Senior role for a data protection specialist to guide a major international firm through the GDPR transition. 12 month FTC. Flexible working available.
THE ROLE
To work as part of the firm's in house team as the data protection specialist in a role providing advisory support, training and awareness, contributing to risk management and corporate governance.
This is an authoratative advisory role in relation to the management of data protection matters. You will play a key role in shaping and managing the Firm's compliance with all applicable data protection frameworks (in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have at least 5pqe in data protection gained in a transactional or contentious / advisory practice with an international law firm or in-house with a multinational corporation. You should have expert knowledge of data protection law and practices, and in particular a demonstrable ability to fulfil the tasks required of a Data Protection Officer under Article 39 GDPR. You should be a confident communicator with the gravitas to guide all internal stakeholders through the relevant changes.
