Energy Trading Lawyer – FORTUNE 100

The role is about:

Providing advice on legal issues associated with:

  • marketing crude, LPG and refined products, their storage and transportation
  • trading on exchanges, such as ICE and CME/NYMEX
  • international and cross-border transactions
  • regulatory compliance and compliance with company’s corporate policies

Negotiating and drafting supply and trading contracts incl. international transactions (purchase and sale/offtake/marketing/master/terminal storage and pipeline transportation agreements).

Negotiating resolution of claims, providing advice and training on risk exposure under relevant laws and regulations, including competition law, market manipulation rules, international trade, import/export rules, anti-corruption laws, corporate governance, anti-boycott and sanctioned parties.

About you:

We are looking for a lawyer qualified to practice in England & Wales with at least 5 years PQE* (preferably more) in international energy products trading; shipping law experience would be an advantage.

Salary:

Reporting:

The role reports directly to the Global General Counsel based overseas.
