In house lawyer

I'm working for the UK subsidiary of a global manufacturing business, which is the leader in its field and has a multi billion dollar turnover.

This is a great opportunity to move in house, away from the Private Practice environment, and undertake a truly diverse role.

You'll support the business on a wide range of commercial and operational agreements ranging from supply and distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements, redrafting terms and conditions, tenders, letters of intent, and reviewing quality agreements. You'll work with business teams to draft, negotiate and execute commercial agreements and advise on a wide array of legal issues and risks.

You'll also advise on claims made by and against the company, legal position in supply and distribution chains where terms and conditions have not been agreed. There is significant property work that comes into the department too, so any knowledge in this area would be useful.

This role is most likely to suit a 'junior' or newly qualified solicitor with some commercial or property experience, a contracts manager with a couple of years experience, someone progressing their career through the CILEX route, or even a highly experienced commercial paralegal looking for that career changing move.

You'll need to possess a good sense of enthusiasm, an interest to work in business on a diverse role, a strong commercial sense, and excellent communication skills.

The business is based in pleasant new offices in Leeds, and offers a good remuneration package including company bonus and pension scheme.
