Head of Wills & Probate

My client is a forward-thinking boutique firm and has offices in Wilmslow and the city centre. To date its strengths have been in civil litigation and commercial work, however after having secured some excellent sources of work in wills & probate and in conveyancing, they are keen to expand further into services for the individual.
As such, there is a Head of Wills & Probate role available. The work is coming from a large source with whom the firm has a great relationship, and is ready to be launched including the marketing for the department. The partners are keen to bring in an experienced and very client-facing solicitor to head up this new department and build a team. This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client solicitor, especially as the firm is very open to discussing partnership when the department is successfully up and running after a year or so.
Having recently placed the firm's Head of Family and we have been very impressed with the partner's collaborative approach, commitment to expansion into private client and the on-boarding processes they have in place for new staff.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years post qualification experience in wills & probate and have a very client care orientated approach to their work. Management experience is essential as well as an interest in business development and the drive to develop this exciting new avenue into the thriving department it has the potential to be.
