Legal Counsel

This is an exclusive part time legal counsel role at a trade association for the construction and steel industry.

Client Details

Our Client is a national and international membership and trade association with the purpose of the promotion of steel in construction and to ensure that the capabilities and activities of the steel industry are widely understood and to provide members with professional services in technical, commercial, contractual, certification and health & safety matters.

Description

This is a part time, three day a week role (likely to evolve to five days per week over the course of a few years).

The successful candidate will spend their time advising internal stakeholders and external members of the association on commercial and construction law matters, as well as ensuring that the organisation is operating within its regulatory regime.

This is a development position with an excellent prospects for progression to senior management.

Profile

The successful candidate will be likely to be a UK qualified lawyer with:

• at least 4 years' PQE
• experience in the construction sector working with construction industry standard contract (JCT, NEC RIBA)

Knowledge of the Construction Act is essential.
