Criminal Duty Solicitor: Middlesbrough

Our client is a specialist Criminal Defence & Family Law firm based in the centre of Middlesbrough. Due to steady expansion, they are looking to recruit a Solicitor to join their busy team.

The Role
You will undertake a broad criminal caseload and will be expected to represent clients in local Magistrates Courts and Police Stations, and possibly Crown Court dependent upon experience. You will be required to undertake a share of out of hours police station and court work, for which you will receive additional remuneration. You will represent clients from arrest to trial, preparing, and ideally representing, at trial. Commitment to involvement in the firm's business development and Corporate Social Responsibility activities is desirable.

The Candidate
You will be a personable, hardworking, individual, who is committed to enhancing their skills and knowledge of Criminal Law on an ongoing basis.

You will be a minimum of 2 years PQE and ideally will be duty registered. It would be beneficial if you were HCA qualified but this is not essential for this role, as the chosen individual will be considered for HCA qualification in the future.

The role is a full time one and own transport and driving licence is essential.
