The Property Litigation Team

Our client are a commercial practice with an envied Real Estate Litigation Team. They service a strong commercial and high-net worth client base; they continually receive a heavy flow of new instructions keeping the team extremely busy. Clients are both local and national. Much work generates out of London, from City clients.

The firm prides themselves in working efficiently, providing cost effective bespoke legal services and advice and regularly receives quality work referrals.

They act on behalf of landlords, tenants, property managers and freehold owners - working with amongst others, well-known household names and highly regarded national institutions. Their services include:

  • Lease renewals including s 25 and 26 Notices
  • Dilapidations
  • Service charge disputes
  • Disputes relating to contracts for the sale or lease of land
  • Disputes as to the Landlord's withholding of consent
  • Rights of way
  • Rights to light
  • Party wall and boundary disputes
  • Injunctions and declarations
  • Disputes as to ownership and trusts of land
  • Break notices
  • Telecommunications
  • Leasehold enfranchisement
  • Insolvency issues
  • Forfeiture and section 146 Notices
  • Rent and service charge recovery
  • Breach of covenant, including unlawful user, failure to repair and breach of alienation
  • Property related professional negligence claims
  • Advice, assistance and guidance for property professionals

Working closely with the existing team of experienced real estate litigation solicitors, the newly hired Property Litigation Solicitor will handle a varied caseload of property litigation matters.

The Property Litigation Senior Associate / Associate Director

The firm is happy to consider solicitors at varying levels; however, the following points are essential profile requirements:

  • Although this vacancy is aimed at upwards of 5 years PQE, a minimum of 2 years PQE will be considered if the applicant can demonstrate a strong aptitude to undertake property litigation
  • UK qualified solicitor
  • Good academics
  • A strong understanding of litigation process and procedure
  • National or leading regional law firm expertise in Property Litigation
  • Experience in dealing with all aspects of property dispute work
  • Excellent client management and retention
  • Effective communication skills
  • Dedicated marketing enthusiast / BD focused
