A large retail organisation is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join one of its legal teams based in Hertfordshire.
Description
Reporting into the Head of Legal you will be responsible for the following matters:
- Leading one of the commercial legal teams;
- Providing the business with legal and commercial input into planning and strategy;
- Leading on major transactions and negotiations; and
- Providing specialist technology and procurement advice and managing external law firm delivery
Profile
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced lawyer with a good mixture of commercial, technology, telecoms and procurement experience as well as being sufficiently adaptable to pick up potentially unfamiliar work.
You will need to have experience of managing teams and/or business critical projects. In house experience would be beneficial but this role could also suit a lawyer coming straight from a firm as long as they had the right experience and personality to slot straight into a Senior Legal Counsel role.
