This international law firm works from over 20 global offices, their work is cross-border, high profile and complex. They work across many business area including; insurance, energy, corporate and dispute resolution.
They are currently recruiting for an Accountants Payable Clerk to join their Finance Department, on a permanent basis.
The main aim of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to process all invoices of the firm, maintain excellent supplier relationships and ensure payment duties are carried out in an accurate, timely and commercial manner.
Key Responsibilities
Scanning and profiling invoices onto the electronic invoice approval system
Entering invoices and expenses onto the PMS
Preparing approved invoices for payment
Making payments (sterling and foreign currency) by BACS, Faster Payment, TT, CHAPS and cheques
Checking statements received from suppliers
Monitoring aged creditor information
Maintaining excellent supplier relationships
Candidate Profile
3 to 4 years’ Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a Law firm.
Basic book-keeping knowledge
Possess strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise key tasks
Good knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel)
Highly numerate with strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts rules would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Accurate, with a strong attention to detail
Flexible outlook and approach
Cheerful and positive team player; able to discuss, share and develop ideas in an open working environment
