Residential Property Senior Legal Officer

Our client is a well renowned Local Authority based in Bedfordshire and they currently require a Residential Property Legal  Officer to start a part time locum role on short notice.

The role is for an initial six month contract with an strong possibility of an extension.

The Position

If your application is successful, you will be expected to carry an extensive caseload which will include, but not be limited to the following matters:

• residential conveyancing
• miscellaneous lease and license matters, including: licenses to assign, to sublet, change of use, alterations, agreements for & surrender of lease and deeds of grant of easements
• Deal with the acquisition and disposal of registered and unregistered freehold and leasehold properties
• Advise on title matters

It is imperative that you have previous experience within this area of law as you will be expected to work with minimum supervision.

Excellent client care skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential for this role. Previous public sector experience would be advantageous but not essential.
