Pre-Litigation Paralegal
We are currently working with an industry leading team in the Birmingham looking for an ambitious Pre-litigation Paralegal to join their Defendant Litigation team and progress to a Fee Earner.
About the Pre-Litigation Paralegal role:
In this Pre-Litigation Paralegal role you will act on matters for leading insurers to pursue loss from third parties responsible for an accident. You will be supporting experienced solicitors and taking responsibility for your own caseload of claims.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting letters before action
- Preparing legal proceedings (preparation of the Claim Form and Particulars of Claim)
- Negotiating settlement
- Assessing liability and the case prospects, researching case law
- Preparing Witness Statements
- Running claims through to Trial
You will have the ability to take a commercially driven approach, to prioritise a busy workload and exhibit a positive team attitude when handling high volumes of work.
