Legal 500 practice seeks talented Housing Litigation Fee Earner with strong landlord and tenant experience in Manchester.

The Role
Due to expansion, we are now actively seeking a dynamic Housing Litigation Fee Earner for a specialist team in Manchester. With strong knowledge of S.11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, the successful Fee Earner will manage a complex caseload of Housing Disrepair claims against local councils, housing authorities and private landlords, ensuring high standards of client care and service at all times. Duties may include: taking client instructions, assessing the severity of disrepair, evaluating quantum, advising clients on the impact to the disrepair has had to them, negotiating settlements and dealing with additional aspects to disrepair claims including personal injury, damage to belongings and inconvenience.
In addition, the successful Fee Earner will play an active role in the continued development of the practice, immersing themselves in business development and marketing initiatives including producing content for the practices website and building long-lasting client relationships to generate repeat instructions. The Candidate
You must be a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Paralegal with solid experience in Housing Litigation;
You will have outstanding communication skills and a client-focused approach;
You must have previous experience in landlord and tenant matters;
You will be adept at conducting negotiations;
You shall be IT Literate with particular expertise using case management systems;
You will work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative;
You will have a keen interest in business development and marketing.
