The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Private Client Solicitor to join our clients’ renowned team in Maidstone. Working closely with specialists at all levels, the successful Solicitor will manage a diverse caseload of Wills and Probate matters for a broad range of clients to include those with cross-border issues and complex estates. Strong Tax and Trusts experience is essential for the role, with the ability to set up, vary and terminate trusts, pre and post-death tax planning in addition to drafting Wills, LPAs and applying for grants of probate. In addition, the ideal Solicitor will also play a key role in business development, attending events and developing strategies for the department and firm as a whole.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of three years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded Private Client department.
You must have excellent technical skills with expertise encompassing all aspects of Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts.
You will be client-focused with a high level of commercial awareness.
Membership of STEP would be advantageous.
Prior experience of business development and participation in activities is essential for the position.
You will be IT literate with a high level of numeracy.
You will be a team player with excellent client care and communication skills across all levels.
