Projects Lawyer

Top tier UK national firm is looking to hire an additional newly qualified lawyer to join their highly successful projects/ energy finance team based in their offices in Edinburgh.

Role Profile:

Working as part of a larger national Energy & Infrastructure Finance team, you will be required to work on a wide range of top tier and high value project and finance work, including:

• Energy project development work,
• Energy regulation,
• Renewable energy finance,
• Upstream oil & gas finance,
• Energy efficiency and
• Low carbon advisory mandates.

The firm’s clients consist of a number of utilities, UK and international banks, renewable energy developers and O&G exploration and production companies, local authorities, infrastructures funds and private equity. 

The work of the team has an increasingly international flavour given both inward investment and also clients looking to invest in international markets working with colleagues in other international offices.

This is a transactional role, with a large amount of client contact and the opportunity to specialise in a strategic and diverse industry sector.   

Candidates Requirements:

• The successful candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about progressing a career in the energy sector.
• You will be team players with a strong client focussed approach and have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.  
• Previous experience in energy or infrastructure finance is desired but not essential as full training and mentoring will be provided.
