A property services company, which acts as the representative for a large number of landlord companies, is recruiting for an in-House Property Lawyer to work in its Legal and Leasehold Management Team. This is a fast paced, corporate environment in the heart of London.

The Legal and Leasehold Management Team deals with all legal transactional matters, disputes, interpretation and compliance issues arising from the managed ground rent portfolios, including the management and supervision of outsourced litigation; transactional and conveyancing instructions; leasehold enfranchisement including RTM; consents and assignment formalities; Party Wall Act disputes; the exercise of developer options; one off requests for e.g. crane oversail licences, sale of parking spaces, additional plots of land, grants of easement, telecoms leases and wayleave agreements for broadband and TV providers.

The role is to report to the Company Solicitor, handle a mixed workload of primarily non-contentious residential property matters; provide advice and support to operational and finance teams within the Company including in particular to the Administrators processing the consents and assignment work and assist the Company Solicitor in driving improvements in compliance, practice, and procedure across the business relevant to the asset management of residential ground rent properties

The candidate must, in addition to being a fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with relevant property experience, have excellent academic qualifications and be IT literate, self-motivated, reliable, highly organised, and capable of taking ownership of a varied and challenging workload with minimal supervision.
