An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recently qualified Contentious / Litigation Lawyer to provide dedicated support to a leading insurance broking business, working within the Legal department in London. This is a unique opening to join a dynamic nationwide enterprise.
The role will include:
- Handling a wide range of contentious commercial matters
- Acting as dedicated 'errors & omissions' litigation lawyer
- Working closely with business colleagues, professional indemnity insurance colleagues and senior litigation lawyers within the Legal department.
- Partnering with business colleagues to achieve an appropriate balance between the business's commercial objectives and risk appetite
- Delivering clear, pragmatic solutions to business colleagues and responding to ad hoc legal and commercial queries, for example in relation to data protection, intellectual property and strategic issues
- Supporting strategic departmental initiatives
- Reporting to senior members of the department within a supportive working environment
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with up to 2 years' post-qualification experience in Contentious / Litigation practice areas and ideally have Insurance or regulated financial services sector background, although this is not essential.
