Planning/Env Lawyer 1+ (12-18 month contract) To £££
This top 10 City firm are seeking a planning/environmental lawyer to undertake a varied caseload including property development, energy (inc renewable) projects, environmental and health and safety issues, advising on climate change law and environmental disputes and litigation. A significant part of the work is within the planning field, particularly around the development of a new nuclear power station and major development projects (e.g Canary Wharf). The other key areas are energy work, in particular energy regulation and renewable, and environmental advice around Corporate M&A and to corporate clients. You will be responsible for both contentious and non-contentious projects, advising clients, drafting agreements around all energy related issues.
Ideally you will have experience of leading or playing a key role in advising major corporates, financial institutions and investors in relation to environmental, energy and climate change issues and on transactions, along with experience of advising major real estate developers on large mixed use schemes, including highways, compulsory purchase and compensation.
