The organisation exists to provide a voice and industry platform for its members, including government lobbying on key issues and advice on legal and financial matters. Your new role
A Group Legal Advisor position, reporting into the Head of Corporate Services, as part of an immediate team of 4 people. Your primary role will be to support the business on policy matters, members' management and compliance. In a non-transactional role, you will provide risk management expertise on commercial agreements, while managing the organisation's relationship with key internal stakeholders, including the legal, commercial, procurement and professional indemnity groups. Further, you will provide corporate secretariat support, consult regarding events, awards and forums, and represent the organisation externally. Working with senior management, you will act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including local government bodies, lobbying groups and regulatory bodies.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK-qualified lawyer with up to 5 years' PQE (or equivalent experience), ideally with exposure within construction sector. Experience with compliance and regulatory matters would be a bonus. You will be a team player with exceptional stakeholder management ability, confident in maintaining and cultivating relationships with interested parties both internally and externally. You will comfortable in a non-transactional role, working as part of a small team of lawyers, central to the image, success and credibility of the organisation as a whole. You will be willing to proactively contribute across the organisation as a pervasive influence.
