The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Child Care Lawyer to join our clients’ highly specialised team. With flexibility as to the location (four offices in the South East); the successful Lawyer will manage a demanding yet rewarding caseload of public law Children Act matters from representation of parents, children and other family members from pre-proceedings to full and final hearings. The ideal Lawyer will be a Child Panel Member, participate in business development activities and assist junior members of the department as necessary.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE gained within a well-regarded Family and Children Law department.
You must have excellent technical skills, specialising in public law Children Act matters, to include the ability to undertake your own advocacy.
Membership of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme (panel) would be highly advantageous.
You will have first class interpersonal skills across all levels, ideally with prior business development experience.
A client following and/or contacts is desirable.
You will be dedicated, flexible and seeking a new challenge with career progression.
