The Role
We are now seeking a talented and dedicated Family Fee Earner to join our clients’ thriving practice in Newark. Working closely with senior members of the team, to include partners of the firm; the successful Fee Earner will handle (with supervision, if required) a demanding caseload consisting predominantly of domestic abuse, injunctions, care proceedings and private law Children Act applications. Additional duties will include: management of files from inception to conclusion; diary management; assisting with complex matters; applications for public funding and; participating in business development and community activities. The ideal Fee Earner will be highly organised with meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong negotiation, advocacy and client care skills.

The Candidate
You must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or fee-earning Paralegal with at least 12 months’ solid experience gained within a reputable Family department.
You must have excellent technical and organisational skills.
You will be I.T literate, ideally with prior experience in the use of case management systems.
Knowledge of LAA processes is a pre-requisite.
First class client care and communication skills are essential for the position.
Prior experience of business development and building strong working relationships with external agencies would be advantageous.
You will be a pro-active team player with the ability to undertake your own advocacy where necessary.
