Trainee Development Advisor - £40-£42,000
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior and experienced graduate recruitment & development assistant (or advisor/officer) looking to move into a more specialist role where your focus will be on the pastoral care, seat planning and strategy of the trainee, and future trainees rather than on the careers fairs side of the role.
Working for a prestigious international law firm based in the City you’ll be part of an elite team of professionals looking after the future of firm – their lawyers and partners of years to come!
Your duties will include;
- Working closely with the graduate recruitment team to make sure of a professional and welcoming transition from campus to employment
- Liaising with partners, heads of departments and other key stakeholders regarding everything from seat allocations to secondments and overseas placements
- Dealing with any concerns and issues that arise and acting as the first point of call for trainees
- Supporting the trainees throughout their time with the firm from training contract offer to qualification
- Coordinating the trainees appraisals
- Liaising with external training providers
What our client are looking for are bright, confident, graduate calibre (ideally HR or Law) candidates with a strong desire to pursue a career in the trainee development space. Experience wise they are expecting you to have at least 2 years’ experience as part of a large, commercial firms’ graduate recruitment & development team, or 2 years’+ experience in an HR Assistant/Advisor role where a large proportion of your time was spent supporting the firms’ graduate recruitment & development.
