Anatwine:

Anatwine is an exciting and fast-paced software company working with the world's largest online fashion retailers and global fashion brands. Its mission is to connect all the stock of the world’s leading brands to the world’s leading retailers. Anatwine enables brands and online retailers to integrate their business processes, systems and stock files to eliminate inefficiencies and maximize sales.  The first integrated service was completed between Superdry and Zalando back in 2013 and Anatwine has since grown to over 140 staff across 5 global locations (Cheltenham HQ, London, New York, Atlanta and North Carolina) servicing markets across Europe, US, and Asia.  We are continuing to expand the business functions and now require a Commercial Lawyer to join our legal team. This is a high visibility and critical role with exposure to senior and technical business leaders.
Duties:

• Prepare, negotiate and complete a range of commercial agreements 
• Maintaining key skills and knowledge in respect of relevant legal practice areas, and developing an excellent understanding of the effect of developing law upon the business
• Identifying legal risks and providing advice and solutions to the business teams
• Cultivate a good understanding of the Company group processes and the developing market sector  
• Support the Anatwine group in connection with legal matters (UK and US)
• Develop and deliver training in core areas with a clear and business-relevant approach 
• Liaise with US and UK external counsel as well as the Company’s group counsel 
• Provide support and assistance to the legal and wider business support teams, including HR

Essential requirements:

• UK qualified lawyer (c. 1-3 PQE) with substantive commercial law experience
• Proficient IT skills
• Pragmatic and commercially minded 
• Ability to take instructions from and work with senior team and business members
• To work effectively under pressure with excellent time management skills
• Respectful of all employees within the group, and ability to develop relationships with both group stakeholders and client partners
• Adaptable and flexible approach, without compromising integrity, and to play an active part in applying group values and ethos
• Motivated and willingness to learn

Ideal requirements:

• Preferred start 27 November 2017 (or earlier)
• In house experience (c. 6 months or more)
• Demonstrable experience of negotiating high value agreements
• Exposure to the retail, fashion, and/or software sectors
• Experience of information technology, intellectual property, data protection, and/or e-commerce law
• Good sense of humour

This is a full time and permanent position for a In House Counsel, and you will be primarily based at the Cheltenham HQ with occasional European travel.  You will receive a competitive package, including benefits depending on experience.
