A Law Costs Negotiator is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a highly regarded personal injury specialist based in on the Wirral. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

My client is a leading personal injury firm with an enviable reputation in the market. They are looking to recruit a Law Costs Negotiator to work in house on their Personal Injury files.

Duties will include negotiating settlement of costs in litigated and non-litigated claimant personal injury cases, advising fee earners regarding costs disputes and assisting with their own negotiations, attending detailed assessment hearings, preparation of summary assessment schedules, and drafting replies to Points of Dispute.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 12 months proven costs negotiation experience. Applicants should be committed and hardworking individuals who enjoy operating in a pressurised and highly motivated team environment. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision. The role involves the use of IT systems and therefore computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, is essential.
