Solicitor, Professional Indemnity, 1-4 years experience

The national professional indemnity team at Kennedys advises on a broad range of issues, the main focus of which is defendant professional negligence and coverage but also includes reinsurance, financial lines and specie work for a variety of national and international insurers. This is one of the largest teams in the country. With over thirty years' experience in all areas of professional indemnity insurance, Kennedys has an enviable reputation and the skills required to service this increasingly complex market.

Type of Clients:

Kennedys acts for more than 50 insurers in relation to professional indemnity claims for surveyors, architects, engineers, accountants, solicitors and other professionals (including IT professionals, loss adjusters and contracts administrators). The team also acts for financial institutions and reinsurers.

Type of Cases:

The team acts for composite and number of London Market insurers on a full range of professional indemnity claims, including traditional professionals and construction risks. The team also advises upon D&O claims and policy coverage disputes.

Experience

Essential:

1-4 years' Defendant Professional Indemnity experience*.
Experience of professional indemnity claims brought against professionals.

Desirable:

To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
Experience of alternative dispute resolution and negotiation.
