Associate Legal Counsel - Construction
Client Details
Our Client is a global architectural practice based in Central London.
Description
The successful candidate will advise on contractual terms and strategy in relation to the following documentation:
- architect's appointments
- sub-consultancy agreements
- collateral warranties
- novation agreements
- variations and contract amendments
The successful candidate will also be required to advise on claims management and to liaise with PI insurers as well as advise on other disputes. There are also some duties supporting Senior Legal Counsel in company secretarial matters, but the focus of this role is construction.
Profile
The successful candidate will be a UK Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' PQE and non-contentious experience in construction industry. They will also have experience of managing contentious work including debt and PI claims.
They will also be likely to have experience of working with construction industry standard form contracts, including NEC, JCT and RIBA.
In-house experience is desirable but not essential. Experience of advising architects or other consultancy practices as well as international experience will also be looked upon favourably.
