Our client, a full-service national law firm, is seeking to hire a non-contentious Construction Solicitor/Associate to join their Legal 500 team based in Nottingham city centre. This role is rewarded with a competitive salary together with genuine progression opportunities.
About the role
This very highly regarded national Construction team boast an impressive portfolio of clients including contractors, developers and high net worth individuals in a range of sectors including retail, health, commercial residential, industrial and mixed use.
Workflows will include acting on matters from cradle to grave including:
- Advising developers, employers, subcontractors, housing associations and consultants on contract formation, construction and procurement strategies and development
- Drafting and negotiating JCT/NEC3 and bespoke form of contracts along with novation agreements, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees and bonds;
- Providing procurement advice;
- Advising on asset management and maintenance contracts
- Providing corporate support to other teams including Real Estate, Corporate and Banking and acquisitions and disposals.

About the person
The Construction Solicitor/Associate will be a UK qualified solicitor with ideally a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience gained at a well-respected national or international firm.

- Effective drafting skills; and
- Proficient technical expertise;
