The Team
Our expert Agriculture Team has a deep understanding of the sector, and our clients include farmers, growers, agri-businesses and other rural enterprises. We provide commercially focused legal advice on a range of agricultural issues, including property sales, development, tax and succession planning through to guidance on subsidies. Whatever your area of focus, we work with you to understand your business and provide tailored solutions aligned to your commercial objectives.
Purpose of the role
To provide a legal secretarial service to the to the Fee Earners in Bath; also providing wider cover across the office for the Agricultural team along with other agricultural secretaries, as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Legal secretarial to include audio and copy typing services, pro-active diary management, producing letters and documents utilising our Case Management and IT systems as appropriate, ensuring the highest levels of speed, accuracy, presentation & confidentiality.

Monitor the daily email, voicemail and post for the Fee Earner and seek advice from colleagues in responding to urgent correspondence to ensure that client needs are met as part of the Firms' professional service. Sending emails on fee earners behalf where appropriate.

Daily review of on line diary, arranging and prioritising appointments, making provisions of facilities where appropriate and ensuring the smooth and efficient time management of Partners and fee earners.

Taking minutes at internal meetings, follow up on actions, distributing minutes
Skills and experience

A level standard, with GCSE English A-C

Min 60 wpm, very competent in the use of Microsoft Office.

Experience of secretarial work (essential), minimum of 2 years, preferably within a law firm.

Can do attitude - problem solver

Strong work ethic, customer service skills, integrity and professionalism
