A nationally leading financial institution is looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join their legal team based in Slough, for a twelve month fixed term contract.
About the role
Reporting into the Deputy General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing expert finance and compliance advice to the business, as well as covering various financing transactions related to debt capital markets, securitisation, private loan financing and bonds.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiating, drafting and reviewing corporate and finance documentation including covenants and undertakings related to all debt financing transactions within the business.
- Supporting the business in complying with company law, corporate governance requirements and other contractual, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identifying risks and opportunities within proposed financial arrangements and finding ways to mitigate or remove risks.
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor of at least 7 years PQE within a common law jurisdiction, gained at either a top tier law firm or renowned bank or financial institution, across debt capital markets, securitisation, private loan financing and bonds.
