Clinical Negligence Associate (5+ years PQE)

My client has a fantastic opportunity working within their claimant division as an opportunity has arisen for an Associate/Senior Associate to join their Clinical Negligence department. The Clinical Negligence department represents claimants and their families following poor medical treatment.

The clinical negligence team is the only in Wales to be ranked top and is also one of the largest practices in the UK.

The role will primarily involve working on new and potential instructions and duties will include handling a caseload of clinical negligence work in line with department strategy with a minimal amount of supervision while conducting a wide range of clinical negligence cases and maintaining a good knowledge of CPR and the law relating to clinical negligence.

You will be providing advice to clients on sensitive matters and drafting witness statements and pleadings as well as reviewing medical reports and providing appropriate advice.

The role involves dealing with highly complex conferences and working with other solicitors to develop and help maintain good client relationships and knowledge within clinical negligence
Maintaining a professional attitude and knowledge of clinical negligence complaints handling procedures by G and NHS in England and Wales.

This is an associate position and so iti s vital that you have sound ability in supervising other fee earners and undertaking business development activities.

Strong organisation and time management skills are a key element to this role as is the ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines. Excellent client care skills are also a must.
