The client:
Our client, an international bank in London, is looking for a NQ-1 PQE Lawyer as part of an expansion exercise in their legal team. This is fantastic opportunity for lawyers who are dynamic, eager to learn and want to undertake a varied role.
The role:
This In House Counsel / Lawyer role will sit within a well-established Legal team, supporting the business on a variety of legal matters.
Your role will include:
- Providing general legal advice to the business on a variety of legal matters and working with other support functions eg. compliance, risk etc ;
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating general legal documentation e.g. finance docs, general vendor contracts, NDAs, terms of business etc.
- Continual horizon scanning for regulations affecting the bank
- Attending executive board meetings, supporting with the preparation of agendas and info packs, through to taking and distributing the minutes efficiently
The candidate:
- This role will be ideal for an NQ-1 PQE Lawyer who is looking for a generalist role providing autonomy and a broad diet of work
- If from private practice, in-house secondment experience will be desirable not essential
- Exposure to real estate / real estate finance will be desirable but not a pre-requisite
