Interim Lawyer : Clearing

Your new company
A specialist asset manager is looking to engage a Lawyer to support their legal team on their OTC and ETD clearing. You would be working within a team of 11 lawyers within their head offices, based in the City.

Your new role
You will be required to review, negotiate and draft clearing agreements with service providers and clearing houses, as well as assess the impact of regulation on both it's clients and business. You will assist with client on-boarding as well as assist in formulating internal policies and procedures. Your role will also combine a mixture of technical legal and regulatory work which will include some administrative and policy functions.

What you'll need to succeed
Although we are ideally looking to engage a qualified Lawyer with between 2-4PQE, we are happy to also consider candidates who have on point experience gained through working within a similar buy or sell side client. It is essential that you have an excellent understanding of OTC derivatives or exchange traded derivatives, as well as experience of central clearing. An understanding of derivatives regulation, particularly EMIR, MiFID II and/or Dodd-Frank, would also be of particular interest.
