A global multinational retailer seeks the support of a Corporate Counsel to support their rapidly growing business located in Northern Paris where you will serve as the primary lawyer responsible for advising the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.
The Role:
You will report directly to the General Counsel and and work autonomously with a fully functional Legal Team where you will be responsible for advising the business on a broad range of commercial IT law related matters and structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. You will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, providing day-to-day advice, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will work directly with the business, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals, providing day-to-day advice, resolving legal issues with commercial and programmatic solutions. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of legal experience (with at least two years gained from an International law firm) as a corporate/commercial Lawyer, preferably with some portion of that experience in technology and commercial transactions. Must have excellent academics (french Universities strongly preferred) with the ability to draft and negotiate contracts in English. Non French Qualified Lawyers will be considered on the basis they have an ability to draft and negotiate in French and English.
