Senior Litigation Lawyer

Our client is a specialist independent regulator responsible for promoting high quality corporate governance. They now wish to hire a senior lawyer, on a 6 month contract basis, to support the enforcement team on end to end complex cases and drafting notices for parties under investigation.

The Role
You will work as part of a highly respected legal team consisting of senior and junior lawyers on major investigation and prosecution cases. You will draft notices and requests for information from parties under investigation and assist on all aspects of preparation for Tribunal hearings, some of which will be managed by external solicitors including counsel and experts. As part of your role you will draft correspondence whilst providing high quality advice and analysis on legal and policy aspects of cases and of Enforcement Division work in general.

The Candidate
Must a UK qualified Lawyer or Barrister with a minimum of 6 yrs PQE having significant experience of regulatory law and/or commercial litigation gained from a leading city law firm and/or City Regulator. Ideally you will have previous experience working with or acting for a prosecuting authority, regulator or disciplinary body. Applicants must have excellent time management, written communication and relationship management skills.
