Senior Legal Counsel

A newly created opportunity with an international property investment group which focuses in the acquisition of land and construction of modern housing developments requires a Senior Legal Counsel to oversee all legal and commercial business activity.

The Role
This is a newly created in-house legal opportunity where you will report directly to the Business Director and ensure that all corporate and investment documentation are legally compliant. These developments will later become rental properties where you will oversee all aspects of the rapidly expanding portfolio of residential assets. You will liaise with outside counsels on matters relating to acquisition, financing, letting, maintenance and other regulatory requirements of residential property law. As part of your role you will work closely with all third-parties including builders, engineers, architects and other sub-contractors. This role requires legal diligence on tenant documentation (leasing agreements, inventories, deposits, maintenance and compliance).

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have trained with a leading UK Law and/or International Law Firm with a minimum of 5 years legal experience, residential property law would be advantageous. Candidates must strong academics gained from a well-regarded University. This opportunity offers an all-encompassing legal role and will require a curious, highly analytical and open-minded lawyer, who would enjoy understanding in depth all elements of residential property law.
