We are working with a Birmingham law firm who are looking to recruit a share schemes specialist to join its national team, ideally based out of their Birmingham office.

Description

You will be joining a small, national tax team with its core hub being based out of Birmingham.

The tax team advises on a mixed bag of taxation work from corporate support and advisory work through to specialist share schemes work.

The team is headed by 2 partners, one of which heads up the share schemes side of things. This recruit will work directly with the senior partner. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a small specialist team and you will have lots of client exposure, together with the chance to be seen as an expert in this niche area both internally and externally.

The potential in this role is great - the team already has an extremely busy caseload and client base so there isn't the need to bring work with you but there is the opportunity for you to help with business development opportunities with existing and new clients. The team is also happy to talk to you about your career path and the opportunities for progression that are available in the short and mid term.

This role will suit a specialist lawyer who is perhaps working within a large London team but wants to move away from this world and progress their career more quickly.

Profile

It's likely that you'll have at least 2 years' experience in share schemes work or perhaps you have more of a mixed tax caseload but want to specialise. The team is also happy to speak to lawyers who want to continue more of a mixed caseload.

The team is particularly keen to speak to anybody who is considering relocating from a large London firm and who wants to move to a team where they can have more direct impact on the team's direction and clients on a day to day basis.
