Childcare Lawyer

Our Client, a well-established and renowned Local Authority based in the East Midlands is seeking a Childcare Lawyer to work with them on an initial 3 month basis.

The client is well known for its high quality service and is looking for an individual who is hardworking, consultative and passionate about childcare law.

The role will involve (but will not be limited to) the following matters:

• Providing advice, representation and research relating to all childcare matters
• Work on matters such as public law care proceedings, adoption, child protection and fostering
• Carry a caseload of matters in proceedings and pre-proceedings
• Undertake advocacy in relevant courts and tribunals  to include CMC, IRH’s, PLO’s and direct hearings
• Prepare briefs to counsel for more complex hearings
• Attend meetings with expert witnesses

The candidate must have experience carrying a full caseload and can work with minimal supervision.
