Our client, an elite tier US and international law firm , in the City of London is seeking to hire a Senior Researcher to work within their specialist Know-how team.
The newly available position will involve a mix of varied duties which will develop as the role progresses. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Conducting legal and business research for legal and professional support staff in the London office as well as coordinating with overseas offices
- Supporting lawyers in the use of information sources including online services and the intranet
- Attending practice group meetings so as to understand/contribute to the firms work
- Advising staff on current awareness techniques available
Ideal candidates for this position, will have three or more years of progressively responsible research experience in a City/US law firm and will also possess excellent knowledge of the legal materials and databases used to support the Firm’s practice areas and research needs for clients work and business development needs, including: Lexis Library, Westlaw UK and Practical Law.
Additionally, you will be highly motivated, able to confidently correspond with senior members of staff and possess strong communication skills in order to effectively build relationships with both internal and external clients alongside excellent analytical and research abilities.
