A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor with a solid background in financial regulatory work to join their Finance and Investment practice team. Your new role
As a result of the firm's recent rapid expansion in finance and investment work, the hiring team are looking for an experienced financial regulatory Lawyer to join an existing team headed up by a QC in London. Primarily you will be advising institutional funds on their downstream corporate activity and emerging markets investment. You will be responsible for advising on the structuring and setting up of funds including UCITS, AIFs, OEICs, drafting core documents, handling authorisations, passporting, changes in control issues, financial promotions, AR agreements, section 166 interventions and consumer credit issues. Your financial regulatory work will include a mixture of contentious and non-contentious matters.
What you'll need to succeed
You will require a minimum 2 degree from a reputable university, demonstrate a solid track record of advising on funds work, with at least 5 year's post qualification experience within a private practice funds team. You will need to be able to demonstrate commitment to funds and financial services as a legal specialism. Exemplary case management, organisation, direct client contact and care, and attention to detail are all essential skill sets. You will need to be able to delegate to and supervise secretarial and support staff as well as more junior members of the team and assist with department training. Experience of establishing and maintaining long term client relationships will also be advantageous.
