Commercial Lawyer, Birmingham
Our client is a leading financial services business and well-recognised brand in Birmingham. They have a busy legal and company secretarial department and now seek an additional lawyer to join the team. This is a new position which will enable the recruit to shape and direct the role and implement their own ideas. You will join a friendly team in a business that has a fantastic reputation for looking after their staff.
Working closely with the Legal Counsel you will advise the business on a range of general commercial contracts (including procurement and third party). You will also advise on data protection, manage disputes and undertake projects. You will assess legal change/risk and monitor regulatory developments. You could also assist the GC in regard to marketing, property, corporate, employment and IP matters.
Our client seeks a strong contract lawyer. Financial services experience would be a benefit but the role is broad and so experience in this sector is not essential. You will possess strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently whilst part of a team. Candidates from either industry or private practice will be considered.
To be considered for this role you must be eligible to work in the UK
