We have made various placements for their legal team over the years and know the business and team quite well.
The legal team comprise of Lawyers from the energy (utilities) or construction or projects (PPP/PFI) or/and general company commercial background. Together, they support the utilities division, within the business.
This is a temporary contract – up to 12 months with the prospect of going permanent. The role must be based in Leeds, some degree of flexibility may be offered i.e. working from home 1 day a week but this is on a case by case basis.
Accountabilities
You will work on the legal affairs for the business’ UK gas and electricity retail operations. You will sit in a friendly and supportive team and report directly to the Head of Legal for the division. With your colleagues, you will advise on a range of issues whilst supporting their Sales, Finance, Commercial, IT, Marketing and HR functions within the business.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor ideally around the NQ – 8 years PQE (ideally) but candidates from higher levels of PQE are welcome to apply*
- Lawyers from general commercial contracts or/and non-contentious construction background are encouraged to apply.
