A Construction Lawyer position with a leading international law firm.
Your new company
A forward thinking commercial law firm is seeking a Construction Solicitor to join its construction practice team in its London office. This leading law firm has offices throughout the UK and a reputable international presence. The firm's construction team has extensive experience of preventing the failure of construction projects affected by insolvency, and they advise on the recovery of project assets which have become 'distressed' through insolvency or funding restrictions.
Your new role
You will join the highly respected construction team, where you will be involved in all matters of advice in relation to construction law solutions across the wide spectrum of projects undertaken in the construction industry. Your clients will comprise household corporations and developers, banks, investment funds and trusts, charities, landed estates and property entrepreneurs. The firm has a leading reputation for providing innovative solutions for health and care providers, student accommodation providers, retailers and tenants, hotels and leisure operators and mixed use developers as well as housing associations. You will also act on behalf of private and public institutions, property owners, developers, investment funds, contractors, specialist sub-contractors, suppliers and construction/design consultants.
What you'll need to succeed
You will require a minimum 2 degree from a reputable university, demonstrate a solid track record of advising on construction matters, with 0-2 year's post qualification experience within a private practice construction team. You will need to be able to demonstrate commitment to construction as a legal specialism. Experience of procurement and contracting strategies, funding and financing agreement, contract tendering, frameworks and security documentation, including advance payment bonds, is essential. You will need to work well in a team and experience of establishing and maintaining long term client relationships will also be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
The firm offers a vibrant and supportive working environment built upon its core values; they are progressive, forward thinking, pragmatic and sensible. They pride themselves on high quality client instructions, are committed to investing in the learning and development of their lawyers and support staff at all levels, and encourage their lawyers to build relationships and take part in business development opportunities.
