Conveyancing Assistant

A multi office Merseyside based law firm is recruiting into its residential property team. The firm in question has a significant regional reputation for property work and successfully combines a traditional client orientated feel with cutting edge CMS technology capable of delivering a high-quality service to property buyers and sellers.

The firm is looking to take on a Conveyancing Assistant to supplement the team. Candidates with at least 1 years' experience of residential property focused work are urged to apply.

The role will involve assisting a conveyancing fee earner within a supportive team orientated environment and providing help with all manner of residential property transactions from start to finish including:

Dealing with clients and other related parties

Carrying out searches on the Land Registry

Drafting contracts

Requesting redemption statements

Setting up files for exchange and completion

There is scope within the department for successful candidates to, if desired, train to become a fully-fledged fee earner over an 18-month period from joining. The firm fully appreciates that this may not be for everybody and they would be content for the person who joined to also remain a conveyancing assistant if this suits them better.

Salary is commensurate with experience but it is anticipated that for a senior conveyancing assistant with in excess of 1 years' good quality residential property the salary could be up top £19,000.

Holidays are 23 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays.
