Our client is a leading law firm who are seeking to appoint a construction lawyer to join their office based in Doha. The team are recognised for their focus on both the energy & construction sector and work with both domestic & international clients on a large scale. They have a great deal of experience in advising developers, funders and investors on the development, financing and operation of a wide range of energy & construction projects and activities.
The role is for a lawyer with up to 4 years experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in work relating to various areas of energy law such as renewables; power generation; nuclear; mining and oil & gas. Previous exposure to construction projects is also a must. The role will include drafting and negotiating all forms of contract documents to include main contracts, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, third party rights, bonds and guarantees; drafting bespoke construction contracts and terms and conditions of business; advising lenders on the security provided by the construction documents; on-going advice during the course of a project with a view to preventing disputes.
