This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement lawyer to join a global chemicals and technologies company as their Assistant Procurement General Counsel.
As Assistant Procurement General Counsel, you will report directly to the Legal Director. You will be involved in negotiating extremely high value materials contracts at a global and regional level, taking into consideration various additional factors such as the supply chain and technologies. You will be responsible for assessing the legal and compliance requirements in advance of a project and implementing any changes in a way which reflects the needs of the project timetable. You will be working closely with relevant business leads to implement strategies for the legal function.
You should ideally have a strong procurement and CAPEX background, so construction projects experience will be highly valued. You should also have experience of working in a matrix organisation, so you should be familiar and able to cope with the varying demands and requirements of working in an international business. You should also have demonstrable experience of handling compliance and ethics issues, either in-house or in a private practice capacity. You should be keen to work in a senior management position, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and improving processes.
Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
