Leading not- for profit organisation that is backed by The Government and experiencing phenomenal growth, is now seeking to appoint its first London Based Lawyer. Working closely with the operational team and the board, that is headed by a CEO who has held key roles at a leading management consultancy and within Government, you will ensure that all contractual arrangements are consistent with its objectives and best practice; its online activities meets applicable requirements and that all commercial contracts adhere to all legal requirements. This will include working on various governance issues required by The Department of Media, Culture and Sport and with the NAO as a result of this organisation's Royal Charter. The organisation is also subject to public procurement regulations.

Suitable candidates will have extensive experience of commercial contracts and preferably an appreciation of how to work closely and cooperatively with Government. Such experience may have been gained in a private organisation that undertook various Government contracts or from within a public sector organisation. Equally, if you are keen to work in the not- for- profit sector and have extensive commercial experience to bring to the role, you are strongly advised to apply. You will also be familiar with company secretarial responsibilities, the application of data protection law, IP/licensing transactions and dispute resolution. This role will require you to play a pivotal role at a critical time for this organisation with major operating decisions being made.
