Now seeking a Head of Property, our firm employs experts in commercial and residential property and can offer rewarding work involving a wide client base.

The Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a senior Solicitor or Legal Executive to fulfil a Head of Property role at this highly regarded firm. Managing the property department, the successful Lawyer will oversee and provide solid leadership to both commercial and residential property teams. Key duties of the role will be to manage staff training and supervision, ensure SRA compliance and undertake financial management and budgeting. The successful Head of Property will manage their own caseload of property matters in addition to undertaking business development activities to further the firm’s overall standing. You will take a hands-on role in commercial property matters, attending clients and dealing with all related matters including: business leases; dilapidation claims; development work and; Landlord and Tenant applications. You will oversee the residential property department and draw upon your experience to provide guidance as required. Additionally, as Head of Property, you will strategise the development of the department and formulate ideas for its long-term progress. This will involve chairing departmental meetings and ensuring effective staff communication. Out of office hours work may be required and you will need access to your own transport. This position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role:
You must be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 5 years’ PQE in commercial property;
You must have solid knowledge of residential property matters;
You will be IT proficient with experience of Microsoft Office package;
You will be adept in case management systems;
You will have networking and business development expertise;
You will take a personable approach with excellent communication skills;
You will possess knowledge of AML regulations, SRA Accounts Rules and SRA Code of Conduct in addition to cybersecurity and data protection issues and legislation;
You will possess a driving license and access to your own vehicle.
