Private Funds Lawyer

An international investment management company based in London is seeking a Private Funds Lawyer to join their small and friendly team for a period of 6 months with potential to extend.

My client is looking for hard working candidate who is a great team player but also has the ability to work autonomously on more routine tasks.

You will be responsible for providing legal advice on ad hoc matters for the Private Equity Group and supporting external counsel on new investments. This will involve reviewing shareholder and investor consent matters such as reviewing proxies and shareholder notices. You will assist the Deal Team and Investor Relations on disclosure and confidentiality obligations to investors and investments.

You will also support internal policy reviews on legal and regulatory changes so knowledge of MiFID would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE* and a legal background within the financial services industry. Experience of private equity fund structuring would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the alternative asset class funds industry within a global organisation.
