Company Secretary, Insurance Sector - City
Our client is a leading specialist commercial insurer, located in the City, serving businesses and professionals across multiple international jurisdictions. They seek to recruit a Company Secretary to join their legal function based in London, reporting to the Head of Corporate and Governance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administration and minuting of Board and Committee meetings
- Governance including updating and ensuring compliance with Matters Reserved for the Board and Terms of Reference
- Oversight of general authorities policy
- General company secretarial duties including board training, Companies House filings and oversight of European Branch offices
- Arranging regulatory filings
- Liaising with regulators with regards to changes to the overseas branch managers.
This role will be well suited to an experienced company secretary or an assistant company secretary with at least a few years' experience, seeking a step up in their career. A Company Secretarial qualification (completed or substantially part way through) would be preferred. Experience in the insurance industry is not a prerequisite for this role.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have strong business acumen and communication skills and enjoy working in a collegiate environment.
