Locum Commercial Contracts and Property Lawyer

Venn Group`s specialist legal team are excited to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts and Property Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands. The Council are looking for someone to work on a part time basis and expect the contract to continue for a duration of 3 months. The role would be office based.

The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience specialising in Commercial Contracts and Property law, ideally holding experience of working for a Local Authority.

• Providing legal support on a range of property and contract matters to internal clients, dealing with external lawyers and other professionals

• Property work will include dealing with Right to Buys, Licences, Landlord and Tenant matters deeds of grant, Tenancy Agreements, Leases, deeds of postponement/covenants, considering title enquiries, Rights of ways, Statutory Declarations and drafting property documentation

• Contracts work will include drafting, advising, reviewing and negotiating small to large complex contracts from SLAs, Consultancy Agreements, Framework Agreements, and advising on the Council's charging powers to generate income and procurement law

An hourly rate of £30 - £40 per hour dependant upon experience is being considered.
