Costs Draftsman

Thornton Legal have been instructed by one of the North West's largest PI Firms to assist them in the recruitment of a Costs Draftsman.

The firm in question has an opening for somebody looking to undertake a role involving drafting informal schedules of costs for negotiation, trial and listing questionnaires. The role will also involve drafting formal bills. The successful candidate needs to be adept at drafting bills for fast track & multi track cases, including cases which have been cost budgeted and therefore the bills need drafting in phases. Experience of using idraft billing software would be an advantage.

The firm is willing to offer a salary of £30,000, an incentivised bonus scheme based on recovery and overtime.

To be considered for this role you will have the following experience, knowledge, skills, and attributes;

An experienced costs lawyer.

• At least 2 years' experience in RTA focused Costs Drafting (RTA's)
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
• Experienced and proficient in the use of case management systems
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under own initiative
